Is Eurax suitable for children?
Eurax 10% Cream is suitable for the use of children over 3. Eurax HC Cream is suitable for children over 10 years of age.
Are all itchy skin conditions the same?
No, there is a big difference between dermatitis, allergic reactions, eczema and insect bites & stings. Eurax products can be used to treat many minor to moderate skin conditions. The active ingredient Crotamiton helps relieve itching while the Hydrocortisone in our Eurax HC Cream helps reduce skin inflammation.
What sizes does Eurax come in?
Eurax 10% Cream is available in two sizes, a handy 30g pack that is useful when travelling or to keep in your handbag or car and a 100g pack that is great for the bathroom cabinet. Eurax HC Cream is available in 15g packs.
Is Eurax safe to use every day?
When Eurax Cream is used for the treatment of Pruritis: Yes, but for children under three years of age, usage should only be used under medical supervision and it should not be applied more than once a day. If symptoms persist, speak to your doctor or local pharmacist.
When Eurax Cream is used for the treatment of Scabies in adults/elderly, it should be used once daily, for a total of 3-5 days.
When Eurax Cream is used for the treatment of Scabies in the paediatric population: For children under three years of age, consult a doctor before use and do not apply more than once a day.
What are the active ingredients in Eurax?

Can Eurax be used on psoriasis?
Eurax HC Cream and Eurax Cream are not licensed for the treatment of psoriasis. However, Eurax Cream can be used on dry cases of psoriasis to help with the short term relief of itching but should not be applied in the presence of exudative wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin.
Can Eurax be used on scars?
Eurax Cream & Eurax HC cream can be used on the scars. However, should not be applied in the presence of exudative wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin.
Can Eurax be used on the scalp?
Eurax Cream & Eurax Hc cream can be used on the scalp. However, should not be applied in the presence of exudative wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin.
Is Eurax a steroid cream?
Eurax Cream is not a steroid cream.
Can Eurax be used in or around the ears?
Eurax Cream & Eurax Hc Cream can be used around the ears, but NOT in the ears as both products are only licensed for external use.
Recommended dosage
Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily. Eurax can be used for children. For children under 3 years of age consult your doctor before use and do not apply more than once a day. Eurax Cream is not recommended in pregnancy. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Eurax Cream if you are breastfeeding or suffering from genital itching.

Allergens
Eurax Cream contains stearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis) and methyl hydroxybenzoate which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). While allergic reactions are rare stop using and seek medical help if you experience: difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, skin irritation or rash. Do not use in or around the eyes, on broken skin, for weeping skin conditions or if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.
Safety advice
If Eurax is accidentally swallowed, contact your nearest hospital emergency department or tell your doctor immediately. Do not smoke or go near naked flames – risk of severe burns. Fabric such as clothing, bedding and dressings that have been in contact with this product burn more easily and can be a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but will not totally remove it.
Ensure the affected area is clean and dry before applying Eurax Cream, re-apply cream 2-3 times daily for rapid relief that works for up to 10 hours. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children and pets. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date given on the end flap. Use within 12 months of opening.
